BMZ completed the scheduled repair of the electric arc furnace -3 (EAF-3) in advance
On March 12, 2018 the arc furnace-3 produced the first steel after its repair work. On February 12, 2018 the EAF-3 was stopped for reconstruction and capital repairs. The planned scope of work has done three days ahead of schedule.
During the planned stop the following works were conducted: modernization of conveyor for alloying materials feeding, reconstruction of furnace foundations, inspection and repair of used mechanical, power and electrical equipment, replacement of loading bridge trolley . Some of the above works were provided within the framework of the project to increase the productivity of non-furnace steel processing.At the present time the planned repairs are also carried out at EAF-1 and EAF-2. The elimination of the consequences of fire that was on March 5, 2018, are conducted in parallel. The task to perform everything qualitatively and in the shortest possible time is put for BMZ specialists.
