17 external audits were carried out at BMZ in June-August
17 external audits were carried out at OJSC "BSW - management company of "BMC" holding" within 3 summer months. Theyarebothcertificationauditsand, customers’ audits. Major focus was rolling mill, as now its new product is actively promoted by BMZ in the global steel market.
So, the successful audits were carried out by certification authority SBS (Sweden) and Kontrollradet (Norway), VTT (Finland), MPA NRW (Germany), TMS (Serbia), KIWA (the Netherlands) and EMPA (Switzerland). Their findings will either confirm or extend validity of certificates of conformity for production of hot rolled rebar (straight and in coils) available at BMZ, as well as cold-deformed reinforcing wire.
Carried out certification audit Stage 1 is, as a responsible supplier of constructional product per BES 6001 standard and sustainable constructional steel scheme (SCS CARES) is of high importance for our company. In order to evaluate BMZ rolling capabilities and expand sales markets for the products meant for production of automotive parts, the following companies carried out the audits in summer time ‘MAHINDRA Forgings AG’ (Germany), ‘ThyssenKrupp Presta Steering AG’ (Germany), ‘FLT KRASNIK S.A.’ (Poland), Hirschvogel, Mubea.
Auditors paid attention to steel wire shops as well. As a part of international standard IATF 16949:2016 and German VDA 6.3 representatives of ‘Continental’ (Germany) audited production process in steel cord & wire shops.
In general, production activity of Byelorussian Steel Works has been assessed in positive terms by all auditors, large range of steel products produced were emphasized as well as competence of personnel who work in audited departments and team work.
