Pioneer heat will take place at BSW
On May, 18th at OJSC «BSW — management company of «BMC» holding» will be repeated the first pioneer heat. The event, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of BSW and Day of pioneer friendship will be attended by pupils from different regions of Belarus.
Within the frameworks of reconstruction of events which took place 33 years ago at Byelorussian steel works will be organized festive meeting. It will bring together more than 200 representatives of pioneer movement, including delegates who were honored to represent various regions of the country at the event. Approximately 20 most active members of Byelorussian Republican Pioneer Organization (BRPO) will have unique opportunity to follow whole technological process of steel melting and talk to representatives of rare metallurgical professions. Dressed in woolen overalls of steel makers and helmets, after solemn meeting, pioneers will follow machines loaded with metal scrap to Steel melting shop №1. There pupils will visit control room of electric arc furnace and steel casting area.Later children will have a tour around BSW shops, during which they will see with their own eyes entire process of Belarusian metal products manufacture, well-known in more than hundred countries around the Globe.
During the event, solemn ceremony of admission to pioneers of new members of Social Organization "Belarusian Republican pioneer organization" is also planned.
BSW expects that reconstruction of pioneer heat will not only attract attention of younger generation to good traditions of patriotic education of young people, but also to use of secondary raw materials.By the way, every year in production shops of BSW second life receive about three million tons of metal scrap, which is processed into construction rebars, hot-rolled pipes, steel cord, etc.
The first pioneer heat took place at BSW on May, 18th, 1986. It became an event of national scale, gathered at the plant hundreds of children from different parts of the country. It was preceded by a competition for metal scrap collection and the winners of the competition took part in the ceremony.
